Mitchel Markins, CRNA, MSN, MSN, MBA
Surgical Facility Administrator / Director of Anesthesia

Mr. Markins joined Vascular Surgery Associates in 2017. He is a graduate of Capital University and completed is Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesia program at Charleston Area Medical Center / Marshall University along with his MBA. Mr. Markins has over 20 years experience as a Nurse Anesthetist. He is the past Director of Anesthesia for the Endoscopy Center of North Baltiomore. Mr. Markins directs the anesthetic care delivery in the operating room. Mr. Markins also directs the administrative responsibilities and operation of VSA Surgery Center, LLC.

Brad Russell, PA-C

Mr. Russell joined Vascular Surgery Associates in 2014. He has extensive experience in cardiovascular surgery. Mr. Russell previously worked in the cardiac surgery department at University of Maryland/St. Joseph Medical Center. His responsibilities include assisting in surgery, hospital and office based duties, including pre-op and post-op patient care.

 

Robert Dougherty, PA-C

Mr. Dougherty joined Vascular Surgery Associates in 2014. He received his Physician Assistant Certificate from Anne Arundel Community College and Master of Medical Science from St. Francis University. Mr. Dougherty assists in the operating room and with patient care in the hospital and office.

 

Kaylie Gonze, PA-C

Ms. Gonze joined Vascular Surgery Associates in 2018. She attained her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Elon University in North Carolina. Her responsibilities include patient care in the office and hospital as well as assisting in the operating room.

 

Shelby E. Norris, PA-C

Ms. Norris joined Vascular Surgery Associates in 2019. She attained her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical University of South Carolina. Her responsibilities include assisting in the operating room and providing pre-operative and post-operative care in the hospital and office.

 

Nicole L. Ogle, PA-C

Ms. Ogle joined Vascular Surgery Associates in 2019. She received her Physician Assistant Certificate from Anne Arundel Community College and Master of Medical Science from St. Francis University. Ms. Ogle previously worked with the Cardiology and Hospitalist services at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Her responsibilities include patient care in the office.

 

Lucas Spaeth, PA-C

Mr. Spaeth joined Vascular Surgery Associates in 2021. He received his Physician Assistant Certificate from Anne Arundel Community College and Master of Health Sciences from University of Maryland Baltimore. His responsibilities include patient care in the office and hospital as well as assisting in the operating room.
